According to reports, Simon Gregson who plays Steve McDonald in Coronation Street, has been struck down with a mystery illness and has been signed off work for a couple of weeks.
The 33-year-old actor, is said to be recovering at home but is due to be returning to filming later this week.
In the meantime, claims have been made that the star has been seen out and about shopping and driving his co-star Craig Charles who plays Lloyd Mullaney around. The plot thickens!
