Emmerdale
A new family is shortly to appear in the Dales of Emmerdale as part of the modernised version of the popular ITV soap.
The Barton’s family will be moving into Butler’s Farm, much to Andy Sugden’s surprise when he returns to his home to find they are now living there.
John Barton, the father is to be played by James Thornton, who previously played the part of PC Jake Loughton in Holby Blue. The mother, Moira, will be portrayed by Natalie J Robb, who also played her part in a police drama as PC Andrea Dunbar in The Bill.
The brother of Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw), Adam Thomas is to play the son’s also named Adam, while the two daughters are to be played by Sophie Powles, the eldest daughter Holly and Hannah, the youngest by Grace Cassidy, who formerly acted in Grange Hill.
The new farming clan will begin filming next week and are due to appear on our screens in July.
