Alison King who plays Carla Connor in Coronation Street has announced that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Adam Huckett.

Ms. King, joined the ITV soap in 2006 and her partner is also attatched to the show as he is a sound assistant for Corrie.

Last week it was announced that many of the Street regulars were being cleared-out, including Vernon Tomlin, played by Ian Reddington.

He will be seen leaving ‘The Rovers Return’ after being offered a record deal, and then Marcus Dent played by Charlie Condou will be jilted by his gay lover Sean Tully.
