After being a regular on the screens of Holby City, it has been announced that the lovely Tom Chambers is to quit the popular hospital soap.

He plays the part of doctor Sam Strachan and he will finish on the show with an emotional scene although it has not been confirmed if he will actually be killed off or not.

His character was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, stage three in November 2007 and was given a 40% chance of survival, so maybe this could be the dramatic storyline which will appear on our screens at Christmas time.

He has recently been on our screens in a completely different scenario, as a contestant on ‘Stricly Come Dancing.

It is the second daughter for Tina, who has Isabella, 9-years-old from her first marriage to Steve Wallington. Tina is now married to her second husband and father of Olivia, Oli Wheeler, a PR Director, and he said “We are both truly ecstatic and looking forward to now being a family of four.”

Tina, who in her first pregnancy put on four stone in weight only gained one-and-a-half stone this time and a source said “She hired a personal trainer and was working out right until the birth. She was eating all the right foods such as chicken, fish and salads and tried to drink as much water as possible. She’s rejoining Holby in six weeks, so she wants to be in perfect shape.”

It was reported that the Holby actress gave birth in the country’s most exclusive maternity ward, The Portland Hospital, a favourite with A-list Celebrities and where both Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham were born. Tina had a bad experience the last time she was on a real hospital ward having a broken wrist treated when she contracted the superbug MRSA.

The Portland Hospital, however, does not come cheap and would have cost approximately £15,000.
