Jack Duckworth

The son of Coronation Street actor Bill Tarmey who plays the part of Jack Duckworth, has been stabbed outside a pub in Ashton under Lyne.

The incident took place at the March Hare public house, which he runs with his wife and sons at the beginning of August at around 1.30am.

The 44-year-old was taken to the nearby Tameside Hospital where he was treated to stab wounds to both arms before later being discharged.

Bill, who is leaving the soap following it’s 50th Anniversary in December, was said to be very upset about the attack but grateful that it wasn’t alot worse.

Fabia Cerra, 35, shocked members of the audience and the panel of judges when she performed her burlesque act on the show, which also received several complaints from TV viewers to Ofcom.

After reaching the semi-finals of the talent show, Fabia was offered the part which has now been filmed and will appear on our screens in September, when she will perform with a group of belly dancers at the re-opening of the villages ‘Loft’ Nightclub.

Patrick Trueman

Tonight’s episode of Eastenders is too feature only black actors with the storyline focusing on the Trueman family.

The one-off special will see only the soaps black characters with speaking roles which will involve the race riots of 1958 and Patrick Trueman’s involvement at the event.

It is the first time in the shows 23-year history that the programme features a predominantly black cast and seems strange that the BBC have not actually publicised the fact.

Kelly needs some extra cash as she can’t make enough money at the knicker factory, so takes on a little part-time job to help.

The British actress joined the cast of Corrie in 2004.

Jo Sugden - Emmerdale

According to reports, Roxanne Pallett who plays Jo Sugden in Emmerdale, is set to join the cast of Heartbeat when she finished on the ITV soap at the end of the year.

The 25-year-old actress, will join the former Coronation Street actress Nikki Sanderson, who played hairdresser Candice Stowe in the 1960’s themed show.

The programme is hoping that by having some more glamour to the show will grab more viewers.

The couple attended the ‘Inside Soap Awards 2008 lauch’ together on Monday and Lomas said,

“Of course we are so happy, just look at the smile on her face!  I guess you can say we’ve have come clean about what has been going on.”

The Corrie actress split-up with her husband Jack Ryder in March, although the couple supposedly separated some time before that.  Ms. Marsh said,

“Jack and I had been split up quite a while before it came out in the papers.  A lot of the magazines have been speaking absolute rubbish about my situation.  We are all just getting used to it at the moment.”

Lomas plays the part of Warren Fox in Hollyoaks, recently split-up with his fiancée Hayley, the mother of his two-year-old, Billy.

In his defence, James said “I was at a dinner party and a spliff was rolled, which I had some of to be sociable. I have never bought drugs myself and I smoke weed very rarely.”

It was only a few weeks ago that James was photographed leaving the home of Amy Winehouse, which he insisted has blown this all out of proportion.

He added “It isn’t something I normally do and I feel that, because of the coverage surrounding Amy Winehouse’s drug problems at the moment, anyone associated with her is subjected to scrutiny. Unfortunately for me, I have been made to look like I’m a regular drug-user, which is certainly not the case.”
