<p>Despite the secret of which characters the two are to play it has been announced that they will both be in the programme for at least two series when it returns in the autumn.</p>
<p>The pair have played opposite each other in the drama trilogy &#8216;Christmas Lights&#8217;, &#8216;City Lights&#8217; and &#8216;Northern Lights&#8217; and are said to be just two of the new faces that will appear in the new series of the BBC drama after announcements that <strong> Denise Welsh, Angela Griffin</strong> and <strong>Eva Pope</strong>, leave the show,  making way for their fellow actors which have so far been named as <strong>Amanda Burton, Tina O&#8217;Brien, Wil Johnson</strong> and <strong>George Samson.</strong></p>

<p>Soap stars will be taking part in a charity football match tomorrow hosted by former Auf Wiedersehen actor Tim Healey.</p>
<p>The event begins at 11am at Manchester&#8217;s Regional Athletics Arena to raise money in aid of Sport Relief.  The match will have the former football players Richard Edghill, John Barnes and Dean Windass acting as managers with the teams made of from various soap operas.</p>
<p>Coronations Street stars Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment), Jason Grimshaw ( Ryan Thomas) and Grame Proctor (Craig Gazey), will be joined by Emmerdale actors Sam Dingle (James Hooton), Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher), Adam Barton ( Adam Thomas), Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller) and Nathan Wylde (Lyndon Ogbourne).</p>
<p>Also stars from the comedy show &#8216;Ideal&#8217; will be on the pitch, consisting of Johnny Vegas, Ryan Pope and Michael Kofi.</p>
<p>Waterloo Road actors Chris Mead (William Ash), Paul Langley (Tom Milner), Philip Ryan  (Dean Smith), Josh Stevenson (William Rush), Finn Sharkey (Jack McMullen), Ronan Burley (Ben Ryan Davies) and Jonah Kirby ( Lucien Laviscount) have also confirmed their places at the event.</p>

<p>The 53-year-old is best known for her previous role in &#8216;Silent Witness&#8217; where she played the part of Sam Ryan and also for her part as Beth Glover in &#8216;Peak Practice.</p>
<p>The sixth series of the school drama will see the Irish actress arrive as the new head teacher Karen Fisher and will make her first appearance on our screens in 2010.</p>

<p>Angela joined the cast of &#8216;Holby City&#8217; in 1999 as Staff Nurse Jasmine Hopkins, but left the series in 2001 as the workload increased after further episodes were added.</p>
<p>The 33-year-old actress, also appeared in the popular hairdressing soap &#8216;Cutting It&#8217; as Darcy Henshaw from 2002-2005, and more recently played the part of Kim Campbell in the school drama programme &#8216;Waterloo Road&#8217;.</p>
<p>Angela is also the voice for Amy, the vet in the children&#8217;s programme &#8216;Postman Pat&#8217;.</p>

<p>The actress and TV presenter, is currently filming the fifth series of the drama, which is due to be on our screens in October but she will not be returning to do a sixth series.</p>
<p>In May of this year,<strong> Neil Morrissey</strong>, quit his role of deputy head teacher Eddie Lawson, which he has played since 2007, to run his own pub.</p>
