Emmerdale
Chris Bisson, who played the part of Vikram Desai in Coronation Street, has joined the cast of Emmerdale where he will play the part of Jai Sharma.
Jai, along with his siblings, arrive in the Dales t0 manage the new confectionery factory and aim to bring their workplace to the heart of the community.
Playing the role of his brother in the soap is Rik Makarem from Torchwood, who’s character Nikhil Sharma is described as fiercely ambitious and very protective over his sister.
Their sister Priya Sharma, played by Effie Woods, is said to be a fun-loving fancy-free young lady that gives both of her brothers plenty to worry about.
The trio are to appear on our screens in September and will be bringing a real vitality to life in Emmerdale.
