Jennie McAlpine who plays the lovely Fiz Brown is furious over BAFTA chiefs for snubbing the soap at the recent award ceremony.
It was revealed earlier in the week that for the first time in ten years, Coronation Street had failed to make the short list.
Jennie claimed that the decision was “absolutely ridiculous” and added “I was on ‘This Morning’ this week and I won their Beat the Stylist so I’m giving my trophy to Corrie rather than the BAFTA. I can’t believe it. I actually can’t understand it. These panel of experts…I think it’s silly.”
Coronation Street only bagged one award, which went to Jack P Shepherd for ‘Villain of the Year’ for his role as the evil David Platt.
