Coronation Street

There is to be a new face on the screen as Coronation Street introduces it’s newest cast member, a parrot called John.  The yellow and blue Macaw is the pet of Jesse Chadwick, played by John Thomas, who is moving into number 11.

The house belongs to his girlfriend Eileen Grimshaw, played by Sue Cleaver, who gives him a home after his mother throws him out, but unfortunately, Eileen and the parrot do not see eye-to-eye.

John, who’s real name is Charlie, will fly onto our screens at the end of  August, and is supposed to have filmed some hilarious scenes with Eileen, making it obvious that the pair are just not going to got on.
