Lacey Turner who plays the part of Stacey Branning in the popular BBC 1 soap opera Eastenders is to quit the show after more than five-years.
The 22-year-old has won 28 awards for her acting role in the show but is keen to pursue a career in film but the door will left open for her character to return in the future.
The actress who plays her mother Jean in the soap Gillian Wright, 49, is also leaving the Square later this year but you can guarantee there will be an explosive exit for both characters.

Hi
its a shame that jean and stacy are going, as the actress gets most of the awards.. it seems that Eastenders seems to win all the time at the soap awards and many of the actors are leaving, I think its about time another soap won, as there are three up north and only one in the south.. so why is it that most of the actors leave or come back after years away.. I love soaps but I think its about time that all the votes are counted properly not changed to one soap can win just because its down south..and they seem to copy most other soaps storylines and take the credit for it
