Betty Eagleton
Paula Tilbrook, who plays busybody Betty Eagleton, in the ITV soap Emmerdale, has won her battle with her neighbour over a garden fence.
The 77-year-old actress, was awarded £2,800 last week after her new neighbour ignored her objections and knocked-down a 33ft trellis to make room for a garage.
The Emmerdale star has lived at her Cheshire home since 1962, and sued Samuel Reid for trespass, as she and her husband had maintained it for 30-years, despite the partition being on Mr Reid’s land, the couple claimed squatters rights ownership and won.
