Emmerdale actor Lewis Smales aka Lewis Linford, 22, who played the part of Lee Naylor, was in Hull Crown Court today, accused of sexual assault.
Smales, allegedly groped and fondled a 19-year-old woman while they were queueing to get into the ‘Pozition’ nightclub as well as asking her to have sex with him.
The unnamed woman also accused the actor of slamming a mans head into a wall, pushing her into a fruit machine and pushing another girl on the 22nd December 2008.
After the incident the young woman reported it to the doorman and telephoned her father to come and collect her before reporting the alleged assault to the police who later arrested Smales.
Smales argues that the girl had tried to jump the queue and had kicked him, he then claimed that when he turned around she had punched him in the face for no reason! The trial continues.
