The ex-Coronation Street star, Suranne Jones, was thrown out of a bar at the weekend after rowdy behaviour.

The 29-year-old actress and about 20 of her friends were in a Manchester bar on Saturday night called ‘Tiger Tiger’.  Apparently the group had drunk quite a lot and were reported to have spent hundreds of pounds at the bar.

The star who played Karen McDonald in the Street and her group of friends were apparently asked to leave after what was described as “disruptive behaviour”.

An insider said that “They were really rowdy and they didn’t like being asked to leave.  They kicked up quite a fuss.  But there was no way the management was going to let them stay.  Everyone had been drinking quite a lot all evening.  They spent hundreds of pounds on drinks, mainly Jack Daniel’s and Coke.”

Suranne has recently got a part in the ITV drama ‘Harley Street’ in which she is to play a posh doctor, and was clearly letting her hair down on a break from filming.

A source said “Suranne turned up at the club with about 20 people – it was for someones birthday party.”  They had apparently hired out a karaoke machine at £85 an hour, in the club from 1am to 3am.  The source added “They had lots of balloons and were obviously celebrating.  At about 1am the staff noticed the crowd were getting a bit raucous.  They and the rest of the party were asked to leave. The group were really annoyed because the karaoke pod they had hired didn’t come cheap and they weren’t allowed to stay and use it.”

A spokesman for Tiger Tiger said “We can confirm that Suranne was there on Saturday night and she and her party were asked to leave at about 1am on Sunday morning.  There was one incident, it was just disruptive behaviour.  It was a karaoke party that went a bit over the top.”
