John Bardon who plays Jim Branning in Eastenders is set to return to the popular soap after suffering a serious stroke last June.
An insider of the BBC soap said that the 68 year old wants to be back in Albert Square, “John is doing really well and we’re overwhelmed he wants to return. Other people who have suffered serious strokes can be given a boost by watching [him].”
However, it is said that John’s comeback will depend on the progress of the intensive rehabilitation programme he has been undergoing since his stroke.
The actress June Brown 81, who plays his wife Dot Cotton, is said to be “thrilled” about the news and said “He is walking now and can move his arm again. He just needs to work on talking.”
